Manny Pacquiao prepared to go 12 rounds, Not looking for Knockout
On Wednesday, Manny Pacquiao participated in a media conference call to promote his upcoming fight against Shane Mosley on Saturday, May 7th. In addition to Pacquiao, trainer Freddie Roach and promoter Bob Arum also participated. When asked about trying to KO Mosley in the fight, Pacquiao said that he wasn't looking for the KO and is prepared to go the distance. According to BoxingScene.com, Pacquiao made the following comments:
For the last several months, Freddie Roach and Bob Arum have continuously hyped up the fight by talking about Manny's historical opportunity to knockout Mosley. Shane has never been knocked out before and Roach would love to see it. In fact, in the same conference call, Roach made the following comments about Manny going for the KO: "I think all fights should end in knockouts so I'm looking for a knockout."
Pacquiao last fought in November against Antonio Margarito. After the fight, Manny went on vacation for a while and then returned to his congressional duties. Pacquiao took time off from training. His time away from the gym rejuvenated his desire to fight, train, and get back into the boxing ring.

By all accounts, Manny looks in great shape and had one of his best training camps in recent years. Manny is at an elite level of physical conditioning and looked tremendous in sparring. Roach said during the conference call that Manny had his best start ever to his training camp and that it may be the best camp he ever had.
Since the fight became official, Pacquiao has maintained that he will treat Mosley like he's the toughest opponent that he's ever faced. And if the results of his training camp are any indication, Pacquiao is focused on Mosley and any potential upset.
Pacquiao vs. Mosley will take place on Saturday May 7th live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight can be seen on Showtime PPV as the event has been sold out for the last month.
