Manny Pacquiao is Set to Fight Shane Mosley is Floyd Mayweather Next?

Manny Pacquiao is set to take on Shane Mosley on May 7th. Allow me to join the masses and yawn. I have nothing against this fight.

In a vacuum, it may actually be interesting. But you are asking me to enjoy Knott's Berry Farm when Disneyland is right down the street. I am not ready to do that. I will take my churro and go home thank you very much.

What I want is Disneyland. In this instance, that means Floyd "Money" Mayweather. That's the fight. That's the good stuff right there. We essentially have it too, if Manny would relent to the very specific standards that Floyd has given him.


You can go the other way and say that Floyd could back down, and stop being such a stubborn ego-maniacal superstar.

Let me state, neither will happen.

This fight has been painted into a corner. Do not expect it to come out anytime soon. Boxing is all about posturing. One guy says "rabbit season." So the other is forced to yell louder, "duck season." It's an age old tale that gets heightened in this sport breed on testosterone.

These guys ain't budging.

There is news now that Floyd wants more than blood tests. ABS CBN News reported Floyd Mayweather refused an offer to fight Manny at $50 million.

Say it with me, these guys are not backing down. Floyd Mayweather wants Manny to beg. Manny is too proud to beg, as he should be.

What we have is a fight, a perfect one, that will never happen.
